Building access is available 24- hours a day for current Northeastern University students, faculty, and staff with a valid Husky ID when the building is open.

Nighttime Safety Escort
Northeastern’s Public Safety Division provides an on-campus personal safety escort service for the Boston campus, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. To request a ride, call the Northeastern University Police at (617) 373-2121. Tell them your name, Northeastern ID number, exact location, and destination. See the Northeastern Police Safety Escort services website for more information and service restrictions. Escorts typically arrive in 10 to 15 minutes.
Public Safety also provides an off-campus shuttle escort from Snell Library in the evenings. New shuttle hours vary by time of the year.
August 15 to May 15: 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM
May 16 to August 14: 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Service runs every single night, 7 days a week!
The RedEye shuttle is free and provides drop off service to designated pick-up and drop-off locations within 1.5 miles of Snell Library. You can view the RedEye service map linked from the Northeastern Police website. To use the RedEye shuttle, students MUST book a ride in advance using the RedEye App OR in person at the RedEye dispatch center, located in the Northeastern Security office inside the Ruggles substation.
